Stretch & Connect: A Night of Wellness, Connection, and Purpose in Barcelona

A few weeks ago, The Wellbeing Company and bsport hosted Stretch & Connect, a rooftop event in Barcelona that brought together wellness professionals for an evening of movement, learning, and giving back. More than just a get-together, it was a chance to celebrate what makes the wellness community so special—collaboration, purpose, and real impact.
As regular supporters of World Wellness Weekend, we at wel-b focus on helping wellness studios grow and succeed. But this event was about more than business. Every ticket sold went to The Lewis Foundation, a charity providing essential support to adults undergoing cancer treatment in UK hospitals. It was a reminder that wellness is about people, not just profit.
Movement and Mindfulness
The evening kicked off with a Pilates session led by Bethan Dando, CEO of The Wellbeing Company, giving attendees a chance to reconnect with their practice and explore fresh ways to bring movement into their studios. It was a simple but powerful reminder that wellness starts with us.
Next, Sam Williams of Her Peaceful Place led a sound healing meditation, offering a rare moment of stillness in a busy world. For many, it was a chance to pause, recharge, and leave feeling clearer and more focused.
Conversations That Inspired
The main event was a panel discussion featuring industry leaders. Bethan Dando and Zak Mansour, CEO of bsport, opened by talking about what truly matters in wellness businesses—balancing smart decisions with real purpose.
The panel included:
Xavier Fuste (BCN Pilates)
Holly Essuman (Reformer Studio)
Xiaoyun Tu (CMO at bsport)
Graham Clark (The Oak House)
They shared their experiences on building resilient businesses, creating real community, and overcoming the challenges of the wellness industry. Their stories were honest and insightful, proving that the best ideas come from real conversations.
A Night with a Purpose
This wasn’t just another networking event. Every ticket sold went directly to The Lewis Foundation, supporting adults with cancer through practical care and emotional support. It was a reminder that wellness is about more than business—it’s about making a difference.
Connections That Lasted
The night ended with drinks on bsport’s rooftop, overlooking the La Mercè Festival below. Attendees—studio owners, instructors, and entrepreneurs—mingled, swapped ideas, and built new relationships. For many, it was the kind of evening that sparks real change.
What We Learned
Stretch & Connect reinforced what we already know: wellness is about more than just work. While we help studios grow with tools like wel-b, our financial reporting platform, this event showed us the real magic happens when people come together.
To everyone who joined us—thank you. Your passion and commitment to making the world a healthier, happier place is what keeps this industry alive
What’s Next
As World Wellness Weekend continues, we’re reminded that wellness is about connection, purpose, and giving back. And we’re already excited for the next chance to bring people together.
Because when we stretch, connect, and support each other, we’re not just building better studios—we’re building a better world.
